Hi all,

we are TTC baby number 2 but since the birth of my LG, I have super irregular periods. Was never an issue before (normally horrid, painful ones) but obviously I’ve got no idea when I’m ovulating or due..

Any advice?

Have you ever tracked your bbt? That's a good start to get used to what your body is doing . Also opks are good to use.

Do you track your periods at all? I've heard like the poster above me, OPK's and BBT tracking can really help a lot. How long have you been TTC for?
For myself, I never really got into OPK's or BBT, I just tracked my period and looked for EWCM. I used Fertility Friend to help along the way. You can buy some really cheap OPK's to use though off of Amazon. I am sure some of the other ladies here know the best cheapie brand to get.

As the ladies have said
I highly recommend using ovulation tests and tracking bbt.
I’ve been ttc for nearly a year now and have used a lot of opks and can share with you the best ones.
I get them of Amazon and you get loads.

I love
Femometer opks
Easy@home opks
Wondfo opks
Mommed opks

I also love the clear blue 4 days fertile digital opks, but that one can be expensive.
I got mine on offer.

they do alot of offers on Amazon.
I get my pregnancy tests from there too.
And if you buy opks some come with pregnancy tests.

Just here to second that irregular periods will come from irregular ovulation day. So

BBT: is the best for confirming ovulation and narrowing down your luteal phase length (how long after ovulation you should expect your period. It's not as hard as it sounds and you can get a cheap BBT thermometer from Target or anywhere. Consistency is key. If you don't want to do the work, I really say this is only necessary if you think you're not ovulating (so to confirm O) OR you want to know when is the best time to test/ expect AF

OPKs: work for most but not all women. I have pcos and I do get fasle (but short) surges but I've never had a surge that was long 1-2 days and not Oed. I used the wondfo brand and got their combo pack. It's like 50 opks and 20 hpts. They're cheap and accurate. It'll let you know when you're about to ovulate aka time to get down and have some fun. I also use the advanced but they add up and if I hadnt used them and just used the wondfo I would have been fine. In fact because your cycles are irregular, I would highly recommend AGAINST the cb digital or cb digital advance opks or you'll get flashing smiles for weeks and it's basically void.

I do like Fertility Friend as well just to track. You may think it's irregular but you may notice a pattern. IE I had a cyst so every other month was actually irregularly long and my cycle length increased for both sides.

Sending baby dust!
