Have any of you evet watched your mother go through labour and / or give birth?
If you have, how did it affect your outlook?

I didn’t but I was supposed to. My stepdad singlehandedly decided to exclude us. Literally lied to my mom that he went to get us. We were all unamused because she wanted us there, and I wanted to be there.

I think a lot of it has to do with. She and maturity and having conversations -dead of time. One of my brothers (originally meant to be both) watched me give birth. He was like 18 or so. And he watched it from the lens of being a doctor. Our relationship was stronger or weaker, and his twin is actually the official godfather because he’s closer to my son.

sorry I know that wasn’t really the question

I have not, but my daughter did last year she was 13 at the time! She even held my leg coached me and cut the cord(along with my husband) she thought it was so amazing but also made her understand labor and birth. I am so happy she was there is something that we bonded over as she is 1 of 7 but my only girl!
