After putting dd down for bed two nights ago I missed a step going down the stairs and slipped down half way ,when I caught myself and went down the stairs I rushed to the bathroom because I thought I peed a little .my panty liner was slightly damp not enough to be a full bladder .when my bf came home I told him he didn’t seem as worried as I was and wrote it off . I called my OBGYN this morning to let her know but they don’t have an open time for me to get a scan till my next appointment . I don’t want to go to the emergency room if there’s nothing truly wrong , I don’t want to be a waste of time for the nurses who are trying to help people in real pain .:confused:Ives kept an eye on my liners and bed sheets the past two nights but I just don’t know what to look for. My last mc was so early it looked like AF with terrible cramping. I’m just thinking the of the worst case atm I’ve slight cramping the past hour but it hasn’t come back . Worst thing is I can’t do anything till my bf come home late, because he has the car. I wish I had something to help me make sure my baby is okay . I’m such a wreck right now I don’t know if I could handle a loss this far into the pregnancy. I don’t even know what to expect if it is truly a loss :(

That sounds emotional and nerve wracking for sure. If you cannot calm your mind about it, then go to the ER. The piece of mind you could be given coupled with dramatically reducing your stress is important for your baby. The ER is not merely a center for pain relief. Just because you do not have pain does not mean you don't have a place in line.
Im a runner and ran through my entire pregnancy. In my second trimester i fell. I walked back to the car very shaken up and nervous. The womb is an incredible place though. Keep in mind just how perfectly made it is. Those babies don't notice and the fluid could easily be normal, having nothing to do with your waters. I often had to wear panty liners. (And my baby was fine from that fall; back running the next day)
My mom fell down an entire flight of stairs when she was 9 months pregnant with my brother. It was raining and she slipped. It had absolutely no effect on her.
I hope that calms you a little. If you can, just distract a bit until bf returns home and then you can decide about going. But dont decide based on the hypothetical people who may need ER attention. It may turn out to be a shockingly slow hour when you go in.

thank you so much for your reply ,it gives me. Little piece of mind <3maybe I am just overthinking it . I’m sure I’ll be fine ,I’ll keep this thread up to post any updates

Definitely go get checked even just for peace of mind.

I would get checked out. You're not wasting anyone's time, it's always best to be on the safe side :hugs:

Thank you ladies for your support ,I’ve been trying to keep busy all day .to keep all the negative thought away but it’s so hard when you just have this gut feeling I’ll go in on my own when my SO comes home so he can watch DD.please keep my baby your prayers I hope he/she is is okay :sad1:

I’m sure They are absolutely fine. They are well protected but just to be safe and for your peace of mind I think you are doing the right thing getting checked.

I’m with the others and would definitely go and get checked out. If anything just for your peace of mind.

I had a fall in the 3rd trimester I fell down a few stairs and with our eldest son I fell over a toy and landed on the floor and they both were fine.
I’m sure all will be ok as baby s very protected. Not being gross did you smell the fluid that came out?
It could of been pee. Pee smells like pee and waters breaking smells sweet. Have you had more since?
I can understand the nervousness after a miscarriage. My son was a rainbow baby and I worried the whole way through.

Now ttc another rainbow after 2 losses last year.
Please keep us posted

Do you have any friends or neighbours who could babysit and let you borrow their car (or just babysit and take an Uber) to get checked out sooner? Even if you don't know your neighbours super well it's worthwhile to ask.

I’ve just had regular leakage from sneezing or coughing. it does smell like pee so that should be a good sign. My bf came home a little early so I’ll be heading out ,Hopefully all goes well.

I’m sure everything will be just fine lovely .
If it smells of pee then it’s probably just pee. I had my waters leak with our eldest and it definitely smelled sweet and not like pee at all. And I had to keep changing my panty liner Every 10 min.

I fell down the stairs at 21 weeks with my youngest. I think I broke my cocyx because I'm still in pain now 18 months later but everything was ok with baby. I did get checked out at a&e and I also had wet knickers so must’ve just been a bit of leakage. Hope all is ok x

I came home late last night but good news baby is okay ,their heartbeat sounded normal ,they did an ultrasound and ran some test to make sure any leakage wasn’t amniotic fluid. They said because it’s still pretty early in the pregnancy and the risk of premature rupture of membranes is rare. They did recommend I be on bed rest and prescribed an antibiotic to prevent infections.<3
