She's for her birthday which is 2 weeks today! The setup is in my bedroom, which neither of the girls come up to unless they're asked

Managed to get a HTC Vive VR on ebay. Although I gave myself a budget for it and spent less, I was hoping I'd have gotten it for cheaper. Probably should have bought it a week or so ago as people are clearly fighting for presents on there now. Tried looking on FB marketplace but they're either super old listings/sold or miles away and I'd rather not take the risk with postage. Still need one more. Unless anybody on here has an Oculus Rift S or HTC Vive (with boxes) they're no longer wanting?

A what now? :xmas13:
Can you tell I'm useless with technology

:haha: a VR (virtual reality) headset. DD2 wanted it for roblox and DD1 then asked for one once she found out for GTA 8-[ and Beat Saber

Just bought another one from Facebook Marketplace! So that's both mains sorted :happydance:

Getting the main presents done always feels like such a big tick on the lost to being ready

Well done for getting both sorted.
DD1 uses a VR headset in school. She has a really techy teacher this year.

I am still at a total loss for ideas. Cannot think of a main gift at all for DD1.
I'm thinking a chrome book but I know DH will disagree as she's bad enough with her tablet/iPod.
DD2 will probably be electric scooter although I'm not 100% on that either,

I wish I got them sooner, it was a stressful bid war on eBay :haha: they were going for a lot cheaper a week prior too.
Definitely avoid a Chromebook! They're very restrictive and not many programmes are able to run on them plus storage space is very little (operating system will take up a good chunk) they're more for students writing and saving documents. If you're wanting something sturdy on a budget, look at HP Pavilions. What about an electric scooter for DD1 too?

Thanks for the tip re chromebook, I did think they weren't the best but she mentioned them to me first.
Dd1 is hard work. She has little interest in anything but weekly cheerleading and her tablet. I'm changing my mind about the chromebook anyway as she just watches stupid videos or plays roblox. She wouldn't use an electric scooter, I can barely get her to walk to the park after school.

£76 worth of products for £17! (for my boss)
It was a bit of a risk as it was a mystery/lucky dip but it paid off. Unsure as to whether or not to get her a Kylie lip kit too and a bottle of alcohol, or just the alcohol.

Will she ever know that this was a lucky dip? Cause if not then I think this is a more than generous present! I suppose it depends on your budget too of course. I am not planning on giving my boss anything for more than £20.

Unfortunately the box has "lucky dip" and price (originally £25) on the side of it on a label which can't be removed without damage, I'm gutted because it was such pretty packaging so I'll be wrapping everything individually now. I know you shouldn't give to receive but last year she spent a good £50 on me and more the year before! My value didn't come close so I'd like to make that extra effort this year

Aw that is a shame. But wow what a generous boss! Does she give everyone in your shop such exepensive gifts or are you just her favourite? lol Or is this a secret Santa thing?

She is a generous manager in general - she will bake cakes for everyone, put out random buffets as a "thank you".
At the moment she's got a tombola going with weekly prizes to help with Christmas and a competition for fill shift (delivery workers) specifically. I run secret santa for the entire store but management tend to buy for each other separately (not mandatory) on top. I'm the only one who also buys for her daughter though, including birthday so I guess she feels obliged. A few have said I'm her favourite but I'd say she does treat us all equally professionally within work
