Hey ladies so this is my first night home. I’m a first time mommy and I had a CS around my bikini line (not sure if it’ll help knowing where) and I can’t get comfortable for my life. I don’t know where to sleep. How to sleep. How not to irritate it.
I was finally able to shower but yet I was terrified of getting it wet...

I would really appreciate some tips and tricks on how to not let it define me and take care of it, myself, and the baby without dying.

Oh I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! I know this post is a week old now... how was the week? Did anything manage to help? I think for a few days it will honestly be very hard and just need some time to heal. I've never had a section and don't have any experience but I hope something worked out for you xx

Hey, it still bothers me. Now it's itchy ever since they removed the surgical tape. I still get that burning feeling which still makes me think I'm bleeding internally but they say it's normal. I sleep with 2 large couch pillows and my side sleeping pillow. Oh and I still use my pregnancy pillow so I stay on my back. I also find it weird that sleeping with a girdle kinda makes it better.

Hello! I had a c section and remember this so clearly. It does get better! I recommend putting a Muslin cloth over the scar to help keep it dry! That helped me! The itching will be it healing! And staying on top of pain meds is a must! X

Sorry to hear you are struggling it can be so tough after CS! After my last one I slept downstairs on the sofa for the first week or 2 with baby, I thought it would be much easier then fully laying down in bed and getting in and out, and sleeping with partner next to me. Was much easier to get around in the night when baby needed milk, plus I was next to the kitchen which was super handy! X

I know this is an older post and I hope you managed well!

I've had 2 sections and I would sleep on a reclining chair or the sofa, propped up for the first week if not 2. I had a boppy pillow that I used to brace my midsection. It helped tremendously. I tried laying flat on my back but it felt horrible and I would get nauseous. Once I did move to bed, I used pillows and such to brace myself while I slept on my side.
