It really is, isn't it. But having to pay for the repair on our roof set us back, to say the least!

Urgh, why do these big expenses always come at the worst times? I have all the last gifts for the boys (except chocolate) in my amazon basket waiting to go. First thing I'm doing on payday is checking out on there and sending a pray to the delivery gods that everything will arrive quickly and in tact.

Same here! All saved in my wishlist on amazon! lol

Yep I have an amazon shopping list too for payday next Friday. Its cutting it fine though.

This Friday I'm getting the 'shop' bits from Smyths, Argos etc. Just hope they're all in store.

Good luck! Hopefully we can all get everything we need.

I've cheated. MIL always gives us, BIL and SIL a supermarket gift card that she's saved on through the year to contribute to our Christmas food, but with covid this year and last it has been cash instead. So I've used that to get the presents I was worried about and will "replace" it with my wages. I can't get the food too early anyway so this makes more sense.
I still need one or two bits from shops and also chocolates/sweets, and then gifts for the In Laws but I'm not panicking about that the way I was presents on the boys Santa lists. I feel more relaxed now and like I'm allowed to get excited

That's a good idea. I'm so glad you're feeling better about things and more organised now and can start enjoying things :)

That was a good idea. Chocolates and things like that are not usually as much of a stock problem as toys can be!

Yes and much easier to just swap what you intended to buy, shops out Quality Street? Just buy Cadbury Rose's instead. Not so easy with toys

I never had those, are they as nice? I’ve always gone with Quality Street cause they look like little xmas baubles or jewels in a bowl <3 I hope they will restock close to xmas cause if I buy them too early they will be GONE! :haha:

They are, though to be honest they aren't as nice as they used to be since Cadbury was bought out haha I always get both Cadbury and Quality Street because that's what we had growing up :haha:

Oooh I prefer quality street over roses, although it's chocolate so I'm not too fussy lol
Love celebrations too.

I hope they re stock too. Im doing my big food shop on 17th (kids last day at school) apart from fresh stuff.

I’m glad I’m getting shopping vouchers from kids school again this year will be a big help towards Christmas food shop (they still get free school meals) as I’ve been underpaid by near £400 so no ones getting Christmas presents til I get it which right now I’m still no further forward. Just glad the kids are sorted and will get other family kids. I won’t get paid from work til 21st but we are in Disney then (hopefully) and have to isolate on return so won’t even able to even go out and get things once I’m paid. Might just have to order everything on Amazon and then there ready to give out once we are out of isolation haha!

Oh my gosh you poor thing what a stressful situation! I hope it gets sorted in time! :(
