Schools reopening

Better buy something to put in the lunch box:rofl:
:haha:
I went shopping on Friday for packed lunch food! The only thing that went in the fridge was the ham/chicken for their sandwiches otherwise they would be like termites :haha:

:haha: I'm wondering how mine will cope without constant snacks!

Ds doesn't get hungry till about 10:30 and had got used to having a decent breakfast about 11. On a regular school day (at school) he has a very light breakfast at 8:30 as he doesn't feel like anything yet - I think the first couple of days back he'll be ready to eat his own arm off by 12:30!!!

How is everyone doing ? Nearly the middle of the week ! My DDs have been great ! Tired is an understatement though hahah ! Early to bed tonight !

So pleased to hear your DD is having a good week, it must be a big relief for you. We've another few days to go, the weather's been rubbish so I should be fine with winter boots for Ds.
Your DD will be exhausted by the weekend, hope you've no big plans...

Mine are doing OK. No tears from DD so far. She would rather be at home but she's coping OK.
And DS loves it. Every day is "the best day ever" :)

I am so happy even DD2 hasn’t cried ! We are looking forward to the weekend . Hopefully a nice walk around the park on Saturday and then making some Mother’s Day cards after. Sunday will hopefully be chilled out with a nice meal and maybe a little tipple hahaha xx

That is great Bev, FX it continues!

Dom would also rather be home but he quite likes going and Sebby is actually happy to be back.

Schools are all open here yet we've had the highest numbers since the pandemic hit.

Wow that’s crazy Eve !

There has been no reported cases of covid in our school since they went back, this I do find strange !

I’m looking forward to the half term break !

I think there has been one case in my kids' school since they went back in September.

We've had 3 student cases and 1 staff since we opened the last week of August. But all of these happened within the first couple weeks of school. We're very lucky that our students take their masking very seriously, and parents are keeping sick kids home/quick with getting tested. Many of our sixth graders are getting vaxxed as soon as they turn 12. I had one kid tell me it's his birthday and all he asked for was the vaccine haha so he was going right after school the day he turned 12. We have (voluntary) testing at every school site each week for staff and students. It is mandatory for staff who don't submit proof of vaccination to get tested once a week though. I do it anyway just because I wanna know. I have two air purifiers in my room as well as a working HVAC double fan thing going. We all teach with our doors open. We have extra masks for kids/staff and hand sani galore. We are not playing around at my site haha. I'm also in CA and sounds like they intend to make the vaccine mandatory. Which I have feels about but like people can still opt out due to religious or personal beliefs so whatever.
