Hi Everyone,

I'm 43 and my partner and I have been trying for a baby fir a while, it's been a bit in and off and pretty stressful in honesty and the last 3 months have been rubbish.

July I got faint lines from 12 DPO which never progressed, faded and then I got my period.

August I got dark lines which progressed to very dark lines then faded literally overnight to negative and period arrived a few days later.

This month I've had faint lines from 12 DPO, never really got darker but today period due and did a test today and its really faint, almost negative.

I'm just so p**** off! The whole thing I soul destroying, to get "pregnant" 3 times in 3 months only for it not to stick.

I had bloods at GP last month which showed hormone levels all normal, I'm ovulating and not pre menopausal.

Got another GP appointment today as I can't keep going through this every month.

Has anyone been through anything similar and any advice you could give?

I'm starting to think I've left it too late. I have an AMAZING 11yo son who is my World, so if its not meant to be I can accept that, its just I am getting pregnant its just not sticking. Is there any hope??

I’m sorry this is happening to you. My husband and I are technically not trying but I have had multiple chemical pregnancies this year. I’m 36 and soon to be 37. I just tested today and got a faint line but a negative digital which seems to be my pattern this year. I get positive line test negative digital tests and then the lines go away and I get my period. I’m not sure why I even test anymore. My husband slipped up this month which is why I tested but I shouldn’t have. My doctor says it’s most likely my stress level. That’s something that’s very hard to control though. Has your doctor said anything about what he thinks is causing your chemicals?

hi! i had a thought as I was reading your post - i know you got your hormones tested already but perhaps they could test your progesterone levels post-ovulation? maybe you're not producing enough of that to continue carrying the pregnancy and need a boost?
Also, from my experience I learned that a slight offness to your thyroid can cause miscarriages - even something you don't normally have to take meds for. Maybe worth checking that out too. I had subclinical hypothyroidism or something like that - just had to take a daily pill to even that out.

Thank you so much for this information. My thyroid was tested but not the other. I will reach out to my doctor and ask.

Hi lovely. Really sorry your going through this. We lost 4 pregnancies in a row when trying for our 2nd, 1 at 7 weeks the other 3 were lost 4-5 weeks. It took us about year and half to finally be pregnant. In that time I had bloods and scans to see if there was a possible cause but nothing was found. In the end me and husband started taking pregncare couples vitamins etc within that month we fell pregnant. Can’t say they are what helped or just coincidence. I really hope you find answers and wish you the best of luck xx

I’m so glad everything worked out and you were able to get pregnant. Thank you so much for your kind words. :)

So sorry ure going through this.
I had 4 chemical pregnancies last year 2020.
I was 40 and had a chemical in April June July and October 2020.

I also had all my hormones tested which all came back normol including progesterone.
That was last September 2020.
And then in October 2020 I had my 4th loss.

I had some other bloods done in late Dec to test overion reserve..
Never got those results tho because in January I was pregnant again and this time it stuck. I had just turned 41. It was cycle number 11.

The only thing I did differently was take Galatanised Macca Root and folaite.
Was on both for about 2 and half months and when I got my very faint BFP I started low dose 75mg baby aspirin.

My son is now nearly 5 weeks old.
Don't give up that hope hon. I nearly did.
I wud love to try for our last baby when I turn 43.
I'm 42 this December.
I will be taking macca and folate again.

Maca is used in South America and can help prevent miscarriage.
I'm so thankful to the lady that told me all about it on here because I really was at breaking point.

I brought both the macca and folate from Amazon and its not expensive. Its also a root vegetable so very very natural.
It has so many other health benefits too.

I'm sorry ure going through this. I hope u get ure sticky Rainbow soon.

It took us 11 months to finally fall pregnant I just thought I wud add that.

Hi! I’m so glad everything worked out for you! Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m not sure why I keep having chemicals. I’m no longer going to test early if I think I’m pregnant. I am going to wait for a missed period. This way I just won’t know. The knowing makes it hard. While we’re not actively trying to have a baby, I would be very happy if it happened and so knowing I keep having chemicals is very hard.

I've been taking Maca Root this cycle and Baby Aspirin too, currently in dreaded 2ww but not feeling "pregnant" at all this month. I've been taking 1000mg of Maca Root. I've changed to Proceive Conception vitamins which have folate in them. Did you take Folate as well as this? And did you take Maca and Aspirin throughout your pregnancy?

Hiya hon. I started taking 500mg macca and the folate. I ended up upping the macca after 2 weeks to 1000mg and after being on it for a few weeks I took it up to 2000mg.
I didn't take anything esle but the macca' folate' vitamin B complex and vitamin D.

The baby aspirin I strated at 10dpo when I first got the faint positive HPTs.
I continued to take the aspirin' macca and folate throughout my pregnancy. I came off the macca when I got to 28 weeks.
But continued with the vitamin D and folate and aspirin.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Have y checked your ovarian reserve?
