When did you go into spontaneous labor with your first pregnancy?

I walked around at a 1cm and 50-75% effaced for at least 2 weeks before going into labor with each of them.

I was 34+5 when my waters broke with my 1st, she was born the next day. The day before my waters broke, cervix was closed and there was no mention about effacement.

With my 2nd and 3rd both were born during the 39th week and I was 1cm and 50%effaced around 35 weeks for both. I was 3 and then 4 cm dilated with about 80%effaced at my 39 week appts for both 2nd and 3rd.

So it can happen quickly or slowly best wishes I know the end can be miserable.

40+ 6 with DS I was fully effaced and 2/3cm dilated with him for over 2 weeks and he still didn’t budge until one really uncomfortable sweep !

I was like 50-75% effaced at all of my third tri appointments and was already 2-3cm by 32w. I had started drinking raspberry leaf tea at 27w, I think that played a big role. I went into labor while I was sleeping and woke up on the tail end of my early labor/go to the hospital timing. I was 38w4d. I didn’t have any Braxton Hicks or anything before. Water didn’t break, had to be popped at the hospital.

37 weeks exactly with DD. 34 with DS. With DS I obviously didn't know it was active labor until I finaly went in and was at 3cm, when earlier that morning I was checked and was 0 and 0%. Within 45 minutes after being at 3, I was checked again after multiple attempts to stop labor and was 9.5 with a bulging sac. Baby was definitely coming! He was born 24 minutes later after 3 pushes. Definitely expecting something similar this time around too. (DS is perfectly healthy and happy now).

37 weeks. He was fine! Didn’t even need time in the nicu Second was 38 + 1 after a membrane sweep (he was measuring HUGE and they were nervous about size). He ended up only 8 lbs 6 oz…but that was two weeks early
