Hi ladies!

So, my partner and I have been wanting to start a family for a long times and have been actively trying for several cycles. I have tried three ICIs and just had my second IUI on May 24. I will say that I never had very positive feelings after our previous attempts, but my recent IUI was different. It was medicated and I had 4 mature follicles. I did my trigger shot on May 24 at 8AM and went in for the IUI on May 24 at 1:30PM. I immediately had an overwhelming feeling that this was the cycle that would work.

Of course, we all know the TWW is miserable! I'm 8DPO now and have had AF-like cramps for the last couple of days, though I will say they definitely seem to be shorter and more mild. As soon as I started feeling those cramps though, I immediately started feeling a little down though, just because it reminded me of our previous failed attempts. I've had nausea and really horrific allergies since about 6DPO, but the cramps have thrown me for a loop because they feel like AF is coming any time. Has anybody else experienced this? Or is anybody else in the TWW now and symptom spotting and just need some support? I could use just someone to talk to right about now because this experience has felt so isolating.

Hi Megan, I haven't tried IUI yet, but after 3 years of trying, it is on the table as soon as we can figure out how to pay for it. Health Insurance in USA is not great for this.

Do you do any temping or things like that? The wait is so hard!

I'm waiting too. About 7dpo from what I can tell.

I actually don't do any temping, though it would probably put my mind more at ease. Ugh the wait really is so hard. And yeah, it took us a long time to save up for the IUI, so we've had a long wait in between attempts due to the cost, unfortunately. We did a few ICIs in between IUI attempts. Good luck on your journey!

Good luck OP! I’ve had all of the symptoms that you listed before my bfp so fingers crossed for you! I guess my cramps were more like jabs here and there, rather than generalized discomfort.

Thank You!!! Unfortunately, it was a BFN, as confirmed by a blood beta test. I am feeling pretty devastated, but plan on doing another medicated IUI in August. I have high hopes that the next one will be the one!
