Hello,
I had my routine midwife appointment at 28 weeks 5 days and my bump measured around 30cm , today i had another midwife appointment at 32 weeks 5 days and i measured around 32cm. Is this something to worry.. i am panicking very much.. they offered me a growth scan but i am very anxious if something is wrong with the baby...all my scans uptill 24 weeks were normal ..can anybody share their experiences or knowledge

Hello. The same thing happened to me with both my pregnancies. My bump measured exactly as it should until nearer the end, around 32 weeks I’m sure. I started measuring a lot smaller and they didn’t see any growth so like 30cm at 32 weeks, 31cm at 34 weeks etc. I was offered growth scans and everything showed to be perfect. Try not to worry, it’s really common with the bump measurements. Good luck!

Hello jft1,
Thts was absolutely reassuring ..waiting for my growth scan and hope everything would be fine n i could see the baby again. Thank you veryy much.

Hi size of bump is just an indication baby could just be laying different or you might be carrying a little more fluid. I measured perfect all the way with both my girls but had 9lbs 12 and 9lbs 13oz babies! Like everything it’s just a estimation tool

Bump measurement can be inaccurate. I once got told my bump hadn't grown in three weeks and was sent for a scan which showed baby was growing perfectly.
Sometimes if baby changes position it can give different measurements.

Very normal for bump measurements to be out..
2 midwife cud measure u on the same day and give 2 different results.
Some don't get the tape measure right to the public bone and can do it slightly above.
Please don't worry.
I only found when I measured small I did have a small baby.
