BF'ing Momma not producing as much-baby won't take bottle

This has happened to me twice, the first time I was pregnant and I didn't know. I just increased is meal intake and fed extra snacks plus I tried 20 different sippy cups until I found one he'd take (he refused bottles) asked his doctor if I could start whole milk because my supply was dipping and she said yes I started with an ounce to see how he tolerated it then increased from there. He did not gain a quickly anymore but he wasn't hungry and was well hydrated and meeting all milestones so doc was ok with it. The sippy that ended up working was the 360 cup

How are things going for your sis now almost 2 months on? I hope things are working out.

I went through this and I didn't even realize it for months, my LO was so hungry and not gaining and never thought I didn't have enough milk! I couldn't get her to take a bottle at all, tried a bunch and different formulas, couldn't afford to do anymore bottles or formulas, so I focused on getting my milk supply UP so she would get enough.

For me, I know I was not taking care of myself with sleep and nutrition and exercise. So my body wasn't making enough milk of course if I wasn't healthy.

Another huge thing was I was on my phone while BF. Wasn't getting a neurological connection to my child while BF, only the anatomical. So like how you get less when you pump, I was releasing less because it was really just mechanical.

So my tips would be take better care of mama, put the phone away completely and focus on baby in a quiet space while BF, and blessed thistle supplement, and google "power pumping to increase supply".

He is also old enough for solids so supplementing with healthy fats like avocado can help with calories.
