Hi ladies,

I’ve actually been trying to post this thread all week but I’ve come on a few times read a few threads and then something else has needed my attention or I’ve crashed out!

I will be only 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow and this week I have been beyond exhausted. I’ve struggled with the simplest of things, haven’t really taken care of myself that much, haven’t cooked like I usually would etc
The last time I was pregnant was over 10 years ago and I was only 21 at the time and I don’t remember feeling like this and at the time I had a 1.5 year old!

Have I just forgotten how tired it can make you? I work from home and yesterday I actually fell asleep for 30 mins during work...

I’m lucky that my boys are old enough to not need or want constant supervision so they aren’t the cause of how I’m feeling or anything running around after them... OH is military and away during the week so housework etc falls to me and this week it has suffered...I just don’t feel like this level of tiredness is normal at all.

I have some pretty constant nausea also which is fun...

Is this just typical? Advice appreciated

I felt so tired in my second pregnancy, honestly never known tiredness like it! :hugs:

It might be my age  I swear I was just going about my business the last 2 times with no dramas! This time my body is like....’ohhhh no you don’t’

When u have ure midwife booking appointment which is around 8 weeks she will do some bloods and check ure iron.

I was feeling very tired and I got my booking in appointment bloods back an I'm anemic so on the iron pills.

And yes they really do turn ure stools black haha yuck:wacko:

I had this with my last two and I’d completely forgotten about that so you’re probably right!

Do you feel loads better for them? I actually cannot believe how much I’ve forgotten from my last 2 pregnancies!xx

I'm not too far behind you and the tiredness has really kicked my butt this week. I ve been on annual leave this week so not done too much (except home schooling that mentally drains anyway)

I'm back at work tom and dreading it. Not sure how I will get through the day with the tiredness and sickness. I'm a community nurse wonder if I can have a 30 min nap in my car. Lol.

Ohh bless you you’ve not got an easy job with fatigue on top!

mom lucky I’m working from home and the kids are back at school now but I’m just exhausted from literally sitting at a desk :dohh:

started to feel nauseated on and off all day which is great...and a new one for me also is waking up in the night feeling sick! What is that all about?!:haha:

Hoping it’s a case of low iron and I have MW appointment Wednesday so hopefully feeling better by the end of the week xx

I’m 6 weeks and very tired. It’s hard. I do rest during the day as I’m home most days with the kids but doing the house tasks is very hard to get my butt up and get started. I’ve only been up for 90 mins now and could go for a lay down. And I’ve slept 11 hrs last night :/

I’m glad I’m not alone I was starting to feel like I was just being a massive wimp! Haha

I saw the midwife today and she’s certain my iron is low but after 4 attempts between 2 of them they couldn’t get any blood!

so off to hospital tomorrow to see if they can get it...then hopefully iron tablets in a few days and I’ll feel human again xx
