I was told on 18th January that baby's heart had stopped a few days before, I think the internal may have started things off but the actual "losing" happened on 20th & 21st.
I took a cheapie test a few days ago and it was negative but I did a clearblue a today and it's a faint postive.
I know I don't need to test until 3 weeks after but when is the 3 week after, from when it started or when things started happening.
I am now only spotting so does this mean I am coming to an end of the bleeding?

I recently had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I had to take medicine to induce bleeding at 9 weeks. I bled for about 10 days and got my next period about 5 and a half weeks later. My cycles are usually 28 days. I hope this helps and I'm so sorry for your loss. My doctor told me to have a full period and make sure my hcg was back to zero before trying again.

I would just make sure your hormones have gone back to normal levels first, just in case of any retained tissue. My sister had a loss at about 6 weeks a couple of years ago, she didn’t wait for a cycle and started trying, I think as soon as the bleeding had stopped. She got pregnant with her daughter right away and didn’t have any problems that time. It’s different for everyone though. I think as long as you don’t suspect any retained tissue, your tests are completely negative (I would avoid Clearblue for this as I have had false positives before, and it seems I’m definitely not alone!) and emotionally you’re both ready, I can’t see why you would have to wait longer if you didn’t want to. I think when they say wait for a cycle first it’s more so they can date you easier (I think)
