Trees 2020

I am shattered but the tree is up!!

Frustratingly some of the lights are dimmer than others but I'm not changing that now (will get a pre lit one next year)

I think the garland/mantle needs some lights so will look for those.

We've also ordered new lights and a tree skirt to arrive Monday

We are now watching the elf story

I love the difference in the lights, it gives it all depth, it's beautiful.

DD1s and DD2s. I only put the lights on and left them to it. My insides are screaming at dec placements DD2 insisted on having her bedside next to it.

All the trees look beautiful

Beautiful trees!
So this year we have a new sofa. This meant our usual tree doesn’t fit in the gap anymore. So we have had to buy a smaller one. I thought I’d got a 6ft, I didn’t I got a 5ft. So I’m not happy!
Decided to just go with it, got new decorations too so this year we are totally different to our usual traditional tree, but this one will be used as a second tree next year. Perfect excuse to have two
Haven’t got all of the other decorations out the loft yet!

The little tree is in the kitchen. The Russian Santa and the little Russian decorations on the tree my grandad brought back from working in Russia when I was 3 so they are very special ones to us

I’m sad that out sentimental ornaments aren’t on the tree this year. I may change the decorations next week to my usual traditional colours and mix and match of decs. It feels more Christmassy!

I love those russian decorations. My nan had some beautiful ones from Germany, over the years they have broken or parts missing

thats why I bought the mini tree from Poundland as the reds match more in my kitchen so thought I’d do a separate tree for those ones and keep the main tree white and silver

Aww no it’s sad when that happens! We had a small little rocking horse when I was a child and I’m gutted that it’s missing now.

I was planning on using tree decs I bought last year but BIL bought OH signed LFC memorabilia which made him want red not central to the window which is annoying me but cba to move TV more yet.
