I'm just wondering if anyone else has chosen this option to manage their miscarriage and if so how was the experience?

Sadly I'm going through my fifth miscarriage (4th MMC). Previously I've had 2 ERPC's and medical management but due to coronavirus my local hospital are now offering manual evac with a local anaesthetic as the preferred option for women who don't want to wait, so I'm going in for the procedure on Monday morning.

I feel like I have a good understanding of what will happen but I'm a bit apprehensive about the pain and wondering how those of you who have had it felt afterwards and how your recovery was.

TIA.

Just seeing this, I am so so sorry :( Huge hugs and I hope your rainbow baby is on his or her way very very soon.

Sending u huge hugs hon.
I've only ever had a d&c with my 10+4 miscarriage.

I've had 6 other losses and 4 this year. But all chemicals. I can't bear to think what ure going through rite now.

My chemicals have devastated me but in a weird way I feel blessed they happened so early.

So I'm sending u so much love and hugs rite now.
And I'm praying we both get our forever BFPs and rainbow babies very very soon.

Are they doing any investigations hon?
I've had a bunch of bloodwork done which all came back normal.
But I've been referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit now and have a telephone appointment with them this Thursday.
Not really sure what to expect and they can't really do much over a phone but I guess its a start.

Really hope u get past this quickly hon so u can move on.
I'm thinking of you.
:hugs:
