I would like to try connecting with other women who know they can only have C-sections (not VBAC candidates) or who have had repeat C-sections.

About me: I'm 38 years old (turning 39 in May), married for almost 9 years and we have an adorable 16 month old boy. I'm born in the USA and lived there the first 16 years of my life but moved to Denmark when I was 16 (my mother is Danish; long story why we moved!). DH and I went through unexplained infertility for a little over 2 years and went through 6 medicated IUIs (all BFNs) plus 2 IVFs with the first one resulting in a CP before conceiving our little boy who was born October 2016 via C-section. I had to have a c-section due to the doctors thinking he was a big baby but he turned out only being a little over 4 kg. Due to complications during the surgery, I was very strongly advised to wait 2 years before getting pregnant again. I have uterine torsion where the uterus rotates/twists during pregnancy so VBAC isn't an option for me. We're going to btw NTNP for baby #2 this Fall (September/October) and happy if we conceive ourselves and if not will just be extra happy about having our son:cloud9:

So anyone else who isn't a VBAC candidate would like to talk and support each other?
 
I would like to join , I had my little boy by emergency c section in 2015 due to iugr,distress during labour and found out I had a thin uterus. Im currently 36 weeks pregnant and found out this baby also has iugr and because of thon uterus ive been booked in for cesarian on friday , very nervous and in a bit of shock so any support would be amazing

Im currently nearly 15 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and seriously considering an elective c section this time. I had high bp at the end of my pregnancy with DS which as I was overdue they induced me. There were many things that went wrong during labour one minute given me too much or not enough of the drip to make me contract, not believing me that I wanted to push because didn't think i was at that stage yet but didn't check, there were loads of incidents but basically i just didn't feel in control. When the midwife finally checked me said I should push DS got stuck. I had a failed forceps delivery so ended up with an emergency csection. Because of this experience I am pushing for an elective and have an appointment with the consultant in January even though my midwife is pushing me for a vbac but saying its my choice!
 
Hello I’m a mum of 4 and number 5 on the way, my first daughter was natural birth, my second was an emergency CSection due to transverse lie, my 3&4 are twins which also was an elective csection. I’ve been told I have to have a csection now which would be my 3rd section and I would like to have one more child after this but I’m told not to because it’s not recommended to have 4 csections.

phantomfaery1 I hope your birth went well and your baby and you are doing well! It sounds like you made the right decision in regards to your mode of birth given the state of your uterus.

flou it most certainly is your choice, if you prefer a C-section than stick to your guns. Just because you're a good VBAC candidate doesn't mean you are obligated to try if you don't want to or aren't comfortable with the risks. I look forward to hearing how things go for you in January!

Shezza yeah the risks for things like placenta accreta and hysterectomy really start to go up with a 4th C-section. Also not everyone is a good VBA2C candidate or wants to try. When are you scheduled?

As for me, DH and I started TTC/NTNP for baby #2 in September (so only 1 month earlier than the doctor and midwife recommended should I have gotten pregnant). Unfortunately got AF 4 days early on Friday so definitely not pregnant:witch: My previous cycles all ended in AF as well, on time ](*,)Last time we tried on our own, I had a chemical for our 7th cycle so thinking it'll take a while, especially as I'm a bit older now (was 34½ last time we started TTCing and am now 39½). DH and I are not sure we can afford IVF this time and we have 0 frozen embies from our previous 2 IVF rounds so we'll give it 4-5 months more and then evaluate things after that.

My first was C-section due to her being breech, and I had already chosen to have a repeat because the risk of rupture was just too much for me. But I've run into several complications that reinforce my choice, one of them being that my OB doesn't believe the baby will fit through my pelvis. She's actually not the first doctor to tell me this, just the first OB. So, I'm not a VBAC candidate, and my section date is scheduled for January 8.
 
Hiya. I am a 34 year old mum of two boys, 5 & 7yrs. I had a c-section with both. I had pre-eclampsia with both. I am desperate for a final child though and although it will be high risk, I feel mentally and physically in a good place to go again! My first c-section was perfect, all routine, such a wonderful experience. My second was horrendous, spinal didn't work and I felt what they were doing. They had to knock me out with a general anaesthetic as it was too traumatic. I would really hope the next c-section runs smooth and praying that it was just bad luck as the consultant said. What were your experiences like?

I was induced with my first boy but because of the pre-eclampsia he couldn't cope. So they would not be happy for me to have a vac either. Can't say I'm devastated as I am quite tiny and have no idea how it would come out! Lolol. Some women make it look easy squeezing babies out.
