I'm 26 weeks pregnant and got the past few days I have been getting excruciating pain in my kidneys, mainly my right kidney. I have been drinking plenty of water but don't seem to be peeing much.

I ended up hospitalised with a dilated kidney when I was pregnant with DS but this was when I was 35 weeks.

I had a urine sample dipped with the midwife on Monday and it came back fine so I'm not sure what's going on. I don't have any symptoms of infection other than the pain.

I'm worried about contacting the GP or midwife because I don't want them to send me into hospital :(

Are you worried about hospitals and the covid situation? My youngest son had to go to A&E earlier this week (he’s fine now!) and my husband said it was very quiet and felt really safe!
If drinking lots of water hasn’t helped and you’ve had issues before then I’d definitely get it checked out. I hope you’re feeling better soon!

It's not so much the covid that worries me, it's more the possibility of being kept in.

When I was in hospital at 35 weeks pregnant with DS, they kept me in for 5 days and I want to try and avoid that if possible.

It's strange because last time I was in constant pain but this time it seems to get worse gradually as the day goes on. I'm wandering if it has something to do with the babies positioning

I'm glad that your youngest is okay now :)

I'm really sorry but I don't have any experience with your situation, so I can't really offer any advice. I can sympathize with you though as far as being kept in the hospital. With my second pregnancy I was kept in the hospital for over a week and a half. I wasn't even allowed to take a shower because I had an IV drip in each arm. It was horrible.
